This French-Serbian platform will be used to exchange good practices in Serbia and France in waste management, sustainable water management, energy efficiency and smart cities.<\/p>\n<p>The visitors were presented the PPP Project signed between the City of Belgrade and Beo \u010cista Energija d.o.o., the management of municipal waste at the new sanitary landfill, the leachate treatment facility and the construction and demolition waste recycling facility. Particular attention was paid to the Energy-from-Waste plant, currently under construction, which is the first power plant fueled by waste in Serbia. Waste will become energy, and the amount of waste going to landfill will be reduced, as well as methane emissions, which is a greenhouse gas and a contributor to the climate change.<\/p>\n<p>The Vinca Resource Recovery Center will enable the comprehensive and sustainable management of municipal waste in order to protect the environment.
