Vladimir Milovanovi\u0107 and Mitsuaki Harada, Managing Directors of the Beo \u010cista Energija presented the progress and milestones of the project to the visitors and showed the newly built facilities, as well as the Energy-from-Waste plant which, when it starts operating, will treat 60% of the waste that will be delivered to the landfill and produce clean energy from waste.<\/p>\n<p>The Vin\u010da Complex, still under construction, is landmark \u201cgreen\u201c project in the region funded by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The project to introduce modern waste management system and permanently resolve decades lasting environmental issues in Vinca is progressing with collaborative efforts of the State Government, the City of Belgrade and private investors (French VEOLIA, Japanese ITOCHU Corporation, Pan-European Fund, MARGUERITE Fund together with International Financial Institutions (IFC, EBRD and OeEB)<\/p>\n<p>The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development provided 128 million euros, while the remaining funds were provided by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) and the Austrian Development Bank (OeED).<\/p>\n<p>Members of the board of directors of the EBRD have been visiting the Republic of Serbia in order to review the results of the previous five-year strategy and establish new strategic investment priorities in the region. Thanks to the joint efforts of all involved parties, the Vin\u010da Resource Recovery Center has become an example of good practice for future projects.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) visited the Vin\u010da Resource Recovery Center.
