The Belgrade Waste Management PPP project has transformed a former dumpsite into a modern, energy-efficient waste management center\u2014significantly reducing the amount of waste sent to landfill and utilizing waste as a source of energy.<\/p>\n<p>The Development Bank of Austria is one of the international financial partners that supported the project&#8217;s implementation, alongside other financial institutions (EBRD and IFC) and the City of Belgrade.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;<em>We are honored to welcome the OeEB delegation and showcase the tangible results of this landmark project<\/em>,&#8221; said Vladimir Milovanovi\u0107, Beo Cista Energija Managing Director. <em>&#8220;The transformation of Vin\u010da demonstrates what can be achieved through strong international partnerships and a shared commitment to sustainable infrastructure.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cSeeing the transformation of the Vin\u010da Waste Management Centre firsthand is a powerful reminder of how sustainable infrastructure can create lasting environmental and social impact. By turning municipal waste into energy, the facility helps reduce landfill emissions, improves waste management, and supplies electricity and heat to thousands of households in Belgrade.
