Students Visit the Vinča Resource Recovery Center
During two organized visits held this and the previous week, students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, together with pupils from the “Isidora Sekulić” Gymnasium, as well as students from the Faculty of Geography and the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, showed great interest in applied technological solutions in the Vinča Resource Recovery Center.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, from the Department of Process Engineering, Thermoenergetics and Thermotechnics, as well as students from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, from the Department of Environmental Engineering.
How Waste Becomes Energy
In the Vinča Resource Recovery Center, 693 000 tons of municipal waste were received in 2025, of which 340 000 tons were thermally treated in the EfW facility, producing electricity enough to supply 30 000 households and heat energy for 60 000 households in Belgrade. Visit of the Mechanical Engineering Students
For the fifth year in a row, the Vinča Resource Recovery Center welcomed a new generation of students from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, as part of the cooperation established in 2021 with the Department of Process Engineering. As in previous years, second-year master’s students had the opportunity to enhance their practical knowledge in the Waste and Wastewater Management course by touring our facilities.
Pupils of “Nikola Tesla” Primary School Visit the Vinča Resource Recovery Center
The Vinča Resource Recovery Center welcomed 50 pupils from “Nikola Tesla” Primary School in Vinča, who had the opportunity to learn about modern municipal waste management processes.
European Experts Visit the Vinča Resource Recovery Center
140 professionals from 22 European countries toured the Energy-from-Waste facility.
