Mr. Madi Atamkulov, Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Serbia, and Mr. Assen Kashkenov, Embassy Counselor, visited the New Vinča Resource Recovery Center, where they were welcomed by Mr. Philippe Thiel and Mr. Mitsuaki Harada, Managing Directors of Beo Čista Energija.

Beo Čista Energija has become the first-ever Energy-from-Waste Facility project certified by Gold Standard and the first in Serbia after being endorsed for its Belgrade Waste Management PPP project. The Gold Standard Carbon Credit Certification is globally recognized as the highest quality standard for carbon offset projects.

At the ceremonial session celebrating the seventy-fourth anniversary, the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to Beo Čista Energija for charity and successful cooperation. The Certificate of Appreciation was presented to the managing director of Beo Čista Energija, Vladimir Milovanović, by the Vice Dean for Scientific and Research Activities, Prof. Dragoslava Stojiljković, PhD.

Miroslav Čučković, City Manager and Nenad Milanović, Belgrade Mayor’s Chief of Staff visited the Vinča Waste Management Center in company with Ivana Vilotijević, City Secretary for Environmental Protection and Aleksandar Ćirić from the Secretariat of Environmental Protection.  

Alain Pilloux, Vice President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) visited the Vinča Resources Recovery Center in company of Carlos San Basilio, Managing Director for Corporate Strategy, Matteo Colangeli, EBRD Director for Western Balkans, Jelena Čeperković Associate Director at EBRD.

During the 35th International Congress on Process Industry held from 1 to 3 June 2022 in Belgrade, Beo Čista Energija LTD participated in a round table on “Modern Waste Thermal Treatment Procedures, while for congress participants has been organized the tour to the Vinča Waste Management Center.

Participants of the regional conference Air Protection and Municipal Waste Management together with Ms. Ljiljana Tanasijević, President of the Environmental Protection Association, visited the Waste Management Center on May 31, 2022.

Students and professors of the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy and the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade visited today the Waste Management Center in Vinča.

Representatives of the French Institute and of Ekoopstina (Eco-Municipality) project partners (Veolia Institute, Saint-Gobain, NALED, the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (SCTM) and Veolia), visited the Vinca Resource Recovery Center, which is a concrete example of solving Belgrade’s environmental issues.

Beo Čista Energija and Suez Vinča Operator welcomed at the Resource Recovery Center representatives of European Centre for Workers’ Questions headed by Mr. Joseph Thouvenel.
