Participants of the Ekoopština’s seminar on “Sustainable Waste Management” visited the Vinča Resource Recovery Center last week, a flagship example of waste management and environmental protection solutions in Belgrade.
This visit marks the fourth time Ekoopština has brought together a diverse group of participants from across region to promote the exchange of knowledge and best practices in environmental protection. The event gathered local government representatives, businesses, and institutions from the Balkan region and France, who showed strong interest in visiting the Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility.
The Veolia Waste Vinča Operator team, led by François de la Morinière, General Manager, alongside Mira Vujić, CFO, and Branimir Kostić, EfW Operations Manager, presented the waste management operations at Vinča. The guests were highly engaged, asking insightful questions as an increasing volume of waste calls for new, innovative solutions to waste disposal and processing—particularly for smaller cities with limited resources but a strong commitment to implementing eco-friendly solutions.
