Mrs. Dubravka Djedovic, Minister of Mining and Energy, on 23rd Feb 2023 met with Beo Čista Energija managing directors who expressed gratitude for respective cooperation with the Ministry and informed Minister about Energy from Waste facility ongoing hot commissioning activities and plan to start exporting first MWs of electrical energy recovered from communal waste to Serbian high voltage transmission grid in March 2023. Also, it was reported that achieving full operational status of EfW is expected by June 2023 when 30,24 MWel of electrical energy from renewable resource will become available to consumers in the city of Belgrade while starting from next heating season (2023/24) 56,5 MW of thermal energy will be contributed to Belgrade’s district heating system

Boško Maravić, EHSG Manager at Beo Čista Energija, participated as a panelist in the discussion titled “Waste as a Source of Energy,” held as part of the International Congress on Process Industry “Processing ’25.” Other panel participants included Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Jovović (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade), Prof. Dr. Filip Kokalj (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Maribor), and Nenad Ristić, Senior Manager for R&D Project Planning (Elixir Group). The panel was moderated by Igor Jezdimirović from the Environment Engineering Group.
