Beo Čista Energija had the honor of hosting participants of the UNECE (United Nations Economic Commission for Europe) International PPP Forum during their visit to Belgrade, providing an in-depth overview of the operations at the Vinča Resource Recovery Center which is the achievement of the Belgrade Waste Management Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project.
The delegation included leading global experts in PPPs, who expressed strong interest in the project’s contractual structure, risk-sharing model, and its tangible impact on the circular economy. The group was welcomed on site by Mr. Katsuhiko Hoshikawa, Managing Director of Beo Čista Energija and Ms. Mira Vujičić, Chief Financial Officer and Mr. François de La Morinière, General Manager of Veolia Waste Vinča Operator, presented waste management operations within the Vinča Resource Recovery Center. In the Control Room of the Energy-from-Waste facility, Mr. Vitor Soares, EfW Manager explained in details the waste-to energy transformation process.
The Belgrade Waste Management PPP represents a leap forward for the City of Belgrade in environmental protection, significant reduction in landfilling, and the generation of renewable energy from waste.
