Mrs. Dubravka Djedovic, Minister of Mining and Energy, on 23rd Feb 2023 met with Beo Čista Energija managing directors who expressed gratitude for respective cooperation with the Ministry and informed Minister about Energy from Waste facility ongoing hot commissioning activities and plan to start exporting first MWs of electrical energy recovered from communal waste to Serbian high voltage transmission grid in March 2023. Also, it was reported that achieving full operational status of EfW is expected by June 2023 when 30,24 MWel of electrical energy from renewable resource will become available to consumers in the city of Belgrade while starting from next heating season (2023/24) 56,5 MW of thermal energy will be contributed to Belgrade’s district heating system

Beo Čista Energija supported the organization of the International Forum “Waste – From Waste to Resource”, held on May 21–22, 2026, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, and organized by Energija Balkana editorial team. Students and pupils visited Vinča Resource Recovery Center
During two organized visits held this and the previous week, students from the Faculty of Technical Sciences, University of Novi Sad, together with pupils from the “Isidora Sekulić” Gymnasium, as well as students from the Faculty of Geography and the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, showed great interest in applied technological solutions in the Vinča Resource Recovery Center.
