Construction of Energy-from-Waste facility is ongoing, equipment is delivered, 85% of works have been performed and works on energy plants for energy recovery are underway.

The Construction and Demolition Waste recycling facility started operations in August 17, 2021, with a processing capacity of over 200,000 tons / year

The new sanitary landfill started operations in August 2nd, 2021. Municipal waste collected by PUC Gradska čistoća from the territory of 15 municipalities of Belgrade is disposed of at the new landfill in compliance with the highest waste management standards of the European Union and Serbia. On average, 500 to 600 trucks that is 1,500 tons of municipal waste arrive at the Vinča landfill. Construction of new sanitary cells is ongoing.

A leachate treatment plant will be put into operation soon to which leachate will be conveyed through a network of pipes and canals, and after treatment it will be discharged into the Osljanski stream, so clean water will flow into the international waterway of the Danube River. Leachate will be treated by reverse osmosis technology.

Beo Čista Energija supported the organization of the International Forum “Waste – From Waste to Resource”, held on May 21–22, 2026, at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade, and organized by Energija Balkana editorial team. Within the panel “Landfills – Challenges, Issues and Proposed Solutions”, Vladimir Milovanović, Director of Beo Čista Energija, spoke about modern perspectives and potential solutions aimed at improving waste management in Belgrade.
